Aeneas Exporting LLC ("Aeneas", "we", "us") provides vehicle and cargo export, import, transloading and warehousing services from Houston, Texas. This policy covers our public website and the Customer Portal.
Information we collect
Contact details you give us when you request a quote, open a portal account or write to us: your name, company, email address, telephone and WhatsApp numbers, and your preferred way of being contacted.
Shipment information needed to move your goods: vehicle identification numbers, titles and bills of sale, cargo descriptions, weights, values, HS codes, consignee and destination details, booking references, customs entries and the documents you upload.
Account and usage records: sign-in dates, the actions you take in the portal, messages you exchange with our team, and the technical data your browser sends, such as your IP address and browser type.
How we use it
To prepare quotations, arrange transport, loading, storage, customs filings and delivery, and to keep you informed as your shipment moves.
To operate your portal account, answer support requests, send service notices and invoices, and keep records that carriers, customs authorities and our insurers require.
To protect the service: detecting misuse, securing accounts and meeting our legal obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the parties needed to carry out your shipment: ocean and inland carriers, ports and terminals, licensed customs brokers, warehouses, auctions and other providers you name, and the authorities that regulate exports and imports. Each receives only the information required for its part of the service.
Service providers who host our systems, deliver our email or process payments act on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.
Documents and photographs
Vehicle and cargo photographs, titles, invoices, dock receipts and other documents are stored privately and are visible only to the account they belong to and to authorised Aeneas staff. Download links are protected and expire.
Cookies and sessions
The website and portal use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms against forgery and remember settings such as "Remember me". We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Retention and security
Shipment and financial records are kept for as long as export, customs and tax rules require, typically several years after the shipment closes. Account data is kept while your account is active and removed on request afterwards, except where a record must be retained by law.
Data is stored on servers in the United States, transmitted over encrypted connections, and access is limited to staff who need it for their work.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or update your details, provide a copy of the information we hold about you, or close your portal account by writing to jameswest@aeneasexporting.com. We answer within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
