Using the website and portal
By using the Aeneas Exporting LLC website or Customer Portal you agree to these terms. The portal is provided to customers, brokers and their authorised staff so they can request quotes, follow shipments, exchange documents and review account activity.
Portal accounts are opened by Aeneas. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential, for everything done under your account, and for telling us promptly if you believe it has been used without authority.
Information you provide
Quotations, customs filings, bookings and documents are prepared from the information you give us. You confirm that it is accurate and complete, that you are entitled to export or import the goods described, and that hazardous cargo is declared with its correct classification.
Inaccurate or missing information can delay a shipment and may result in additional charges from carriers, terminals or authorities, which are passed on at cost.
Quotations and pricing
A quotation is an offer to perform the services listed in it at the prices shown, valid for the period stated on the quotation (14 days unless otherwise noted). It becomes an order when you accept it in the portal or in writing.
Unless a quotation says otherwise, prices exclude duties, taxes, port and terminal fees, demurrage, detention, storage at terminal, inspection fees and other third-party charges, which are billed as incurred. Storage quoted per day is billed for the actual days in storage.
Payment
Invoices are payable by the due date shown on them. Goods and documents may be held until amounts due for their shipment are paid. Late amounts may carry the interest and collection costs stated on the invoice.
Our services
Aeneas arranges transport, loading, storage, documentation and related services as a logistics provider. Carriage by sea, air or road is performed by the carriers named on the booking under their own bills of lading and conditions, which apply to the carriage itself.
Customs brokerage is performed by licensed customs brokers engaged for your shipment. Bonded warehouse services are subject to U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations.
Cargo Insurance & Vehicle Loading Policy
- Insurance: Compensation for vehicle or cargo damage is available only through our cargo insurance policy. The premium is 7% of the declared vehicle value, or 10% of the declared cargo value, per the insurer's terms and conditions. To insure your shipment, please notify us before we receive the vehicle or the cargo so coverage can be arranged.
- Loading standards: Vehicles are loaded per accepted industry standards, with proper blocking and bracing using 4" × 6" lumber and adequate spacing between vehicles. Accordingly, each 40HC container is limited to a maximum of two sedans and two SUVs.
- Liability: Our margin on container loading (approx. $400) does not cover repair or replacement of damaged vehicles. Uninsured vehicles ship entirely at the owner's risk. We strongly recommend cargo insurance for every shipment.
Documents and content
Documents, photographs and reports generated for your shipment may be used by you for that shipment. The website, portal and their content remain the property of Aeneas Exporting LLC and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Termination and changes
We may suspend or close a portal account that is misused, and we may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. All services are subject to arbitration: any dispute arising from these terms or from our services will be resolved by binding arbitration in Harris County, Texas, rather than in court.
